Artist Profiles

Rocking Chair Artists:

ALYSSA MCKAY (COSMIC DREAM)

is a self-taught artist who aspires to one day inspire a love for art in others as an educator. Her art largely consists of mystical themes involving nature and the beauty of women.

BOBBI HENEISEN (SUNFLOWERS)

The Master Gardeners of Roane County are a volunteer organization.  Our mission is “Improving the lives of Tennesseans through horticulture education delivered by a dedicated and skilled volunteers’ network”.  Some of our projects are “the Gardens at Roane County Park”, Fort Southwest Native American healing garden, landscape HUG homes, free lunch and learn education sessions.

As a member of the master gardeners of Roane County, the chair will be created as a collaborative effort. It will reflect a love of flowers and beauty.   As soon as I was aware of this opportunity the design of bright blue and yellow was the vision for the chair.  I have been a member of the MGRC since 2015.  My passion is flowers and expressing myself in my garden art creations.  I, along with fellow members Ailene Radcliffe and Lucy Stephenson, we will bring the vision to life.

We love participating in this exciting event and in doing so supporting the Roane County Harriman community.

I love painting cartoon canvases, and have created canvases of Super Mario Bros, Stitch, The Lion King, The Sanderson Sisters, and many more. I’ve had the pleasure to paint canvas sets for nurseries with a woodland animal theme and kids’ room with a Gabby’s Dollhouse theme. I love being creative and challenged to paint new and different things.
