Facilities

  • David Webb Riverfront Park: Located at 301 Emory Drive, on the tranquil Emory River. The park has one children’s playground, picnic areas, rest rooms, pavilion, gazebo, boat dock, kayak launch, story book trail, paved walking trail, war memorial and police memorial.   • Fred Davis Jr Park (Triangle Park): located at 591 Henderson Street. The park offers one children’s playground, picnic areas, paved basketball court, and rest rooms. If you are interested in renting any facility at Fred Davis Jr. Park please contact: 865-882-0942.

  • Harriman Community Center: located at 630 Clinch Street, and boasts of family friendly activities. The Community Center offers two party rooms with an alley kitchen, a full court basketball goal that doubles as pickleball courts. Recently, Michael Dunn was awarded the “Connected Community Facilities Grant” for the build of a new digitally connected, inclusive playground. The Harriman Community Center offers Senior Citizen Bingo on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month starting at 1:00 p.m. If you are interested in booking our facility please contact 865-882-0942.

  • Harriman Splash Pad: The Harriman Splash Pad is located at 630 Clinch Street, and offers a fun way for kids to cool off and play in water while allowing children to interact with others.   • Harriman Flour Mill Flats: Located at 1010 Carter Avenue, This beautiful area offers two lighted softball fields, bleachers, concession stand, restrooms, press box, and batting cages. All fields are the home of Harriman Recreation Department baseball and softball athletics along with Harriman Middles School and High School Girls Softball.

  • Chris Mason Pickleball Courts: The Chris Mason Pickleball Courts are located at 1010 Carter Ave. The Chris Mason Pickleball Courts are new and updated offering six official size pickleball courts.

Park Rules and Safety

Our parks were developed to provide the citizens of Harriman and surrounding areas with family recreational opportunities. We encourage your participation and cooperation in keeping the park safe for everyone. The following are prohibited:

  • The use of alcoholic beverages, drugs, and firearms
  • Selling goods or soliciting without city’s prior written approval
  • Parking on the grass. Use designated parking spots only
  • Vandalizing property or facilities
  • Climbing on any structure or fence other than in playgrounds
  • Fires other than in designated picnic areas
  • All pets must be in a vehicle or on a leash and must be physically controlled at all times
  • With the exception of service dogs, dogs or other domestic animals are not permitted in any park property building or athletic areas/fields unless otherwise authorized or approved.
  • Persons with pets on trails and areas will be responsible for proper removal and disposal of the animal’s waste..
  • Do not deface property including sidewalks, buildings, and structures
  • Do not climb on structures or fences
  • No throwing rocks into river
  • No swimming at David Webb Riverfront Park

Youth Athletic Programs:

The City of Harriman Parks and Recreation offer multiple athletic programs for the youth in our community. Our fundamental goal is to include the importance of physical activity and the benefits of sports. Our sports include basketball, baseball, softball, football, and cheerleading. Harriman Parks and Recreation is a proud member of Diamond Youth Baseball and Softball. Sign-ups for youth league sports will be announced on our facebook page and you can sign-up through our website at Harriman Recreation Sports Connect.

Winter Sports

City League basketball signups begin in September ending in November. Basketball games begin the first week of January and run for 10 weeks.

Spring Sports

Harriman Rec. baseball, softball, and wee-ball signups begin in January ending in March. Games begin the first of April running through May. Harriman Recreation Baseball and Softball are proud members of Diamond Youth Baseball and Softball. The Diamond Youth Baseball and Softball program offers an opportunity for further participation in All-Star travel leading the program into June and July.

Summer Sports

Harriman Recreation Department offers football and cheerleading to age groups ranging from 4 years of age to 11 years of age. The program signups begin in April ending in June. The season will start in August running through October. Harriman Recreation is associated with the TVAA Football Association. Each year, our cheerleaders participate in the TVAA Cheerleading Competition held at Roane State Community College.

Harriman Parks and Recreation is making it easy for you to sign your child up for the sport they love the most. Please be advised that there is a registration fee associated with each sign up.

The registration fee is $25 per child and $10 for each additional child in the household. In order to receive the discount children must live in the same household. Click here to sign your child up for the most current sport!
